J. Herbin is the oldest name in pen ink in the world, dating back to 1670. King Louis XIV, Napoleon Bonaparte, and Victor Hugo all used J. Herbin ink. Known as "D bottles" for their old French unit of measure "la Demi Courtine" and includes an integrated pen rest on top of the bottle.
